-
Children learn when and how to approach a dog, including the importance of asking for permission. They'll practise calm, respectful greeting techniques that help dogs feel at ease.
-
Children will be guided through reading signs that show whether a dog is happy, worried, or needs space. With fun visuals and role play, they'll learn to notice wiggly tails, tucked ears, and everything in between.
-
We’ll explore how children can move and behave in ways that help dogs feel safe, like using a quiet voice and calm hands, and what to do if a dog barks or jumps unexpectedly.
-
Children will build confidence by practising safe, age-appropriate ways to engage with dogs, like helping fill a water bowl or giving a dog space when they need it. These early, gentle interactions help foster empathy and understanding.
