In this week, owners and dogs will practice foundational commands like “Sit”, “Stay”, “Down”, and “Come“. We'll also focus on loose-leash walking, impulse control exercises like "Leave It" and "Wait," and learning how to maintain attention during training.

Goal: To reinforce basic commands and introduce structure.

We’ll deepen impulse control with distractions, and practice calm greetings and socialisation with both people and dogs. Owners will learn how to use the “Place” command to help their dog relax and stay calm during overstimulating situations.

Goal: To improve impulse control and begin socialisation.

We’ll tackle advanced obedience by practicing commands under distraction and focusing on problem behaviours like jumping or nipping. Training will also cover redirecting unwanted behaviours and perfecting recall in more challenging environments.

Goal: To address common adolescent dog issues and refine skills.

In the final week, dogs and owners will practice all skills in public settings and with real-world distractions. We'll review all commands, address specific behaviour issues, and complete a final timed test of the skills learned throughout the course.

Goal: To apply learned skills to real-world situations.
